Thank you for all who organized and volunteered to make both our Carnival and Golf Outing so very successful. Thank you also for placing the Blessed Mother in your window. The skies were gloomy but the steady, heavy rain never materialized. Thanks also to all who attended the Carnival or participated in the Golf Outing. The crowds were steady and enthusiastic. Thank you again for all that you do to support our fund raisers and social events. Both events benefit the programs and offerings of Notre Dame de Lourdes School. Thank you.
The Drama Program has kicked off the 2024 / 2025 season with their auditions and with the karaoke gathering this weekend at the Our Lady of Peace campus. The Drama Program affords our youngest parishioners the opportunity to showcase their talents and to have fun. The Drama program has also made possible the upgrade of the doors to the OLP Parish Center. This year’s show is The Wizard of Oz and will be presented in the Spring.
Thank you for those who have retuned the Parish Census Forms that were mailed to all our parishioners last month. Updated census information includes accurate family membership information, their spiritual needs, and correct contact information such as e-mail and cell numbers. Thank you also for your generosity to the Block Collection – a key annual parish collection. Block collection and the Parish Census Forms may be submitted throughout the Autumn season.
Today is Respect Life Sunday, and October is Respect Life Month. Please continue to pray for all life issues, and the dignity of human life from conception through natural death. October is also dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, whose Feast is tomorrow, 7 October. Perhaps praying an additional rosary for Respect Life concerns would be a fitting devotion, not only throughout this month but throughout the year.
