Children’s Choir
Music ministry is excited to have our OLP Children’s Choir singing again this school year! Students in grades 1st-12th are welcome to join us as we sing at Notre Dame the first Sunday of the month during the 9:30 mass. We will rehearse on a weekday afternoon between M-F prior each month to prepare. Detailed information and schedule will be emailed monthly from Angela Wertner, the Children Choir’s director. Join us as we lift our voices in song!

Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
A Children’s Liturgy of the Word ministry was developed to provide our youngest parishioners with the opportunity to engage with Sacred Scripture. The children, after the opening prayer at Mass, will be invited to enter a suitable space where the Sunday mass readings will be proclaimed and explained. The children will be provided with an activity to enhance the meaning of the Scripture for that day. The children will return to the congregation before the presentation of gifts.

Communion Call
This group of Eucharistic Ministers visits and Parish members who are unable to attend weekly Mass or are considered a “shut in” to bring them Communion. This is done on a weekly or “whenever necessary” basis, but can be accommodated upon request at any time. Parishioners are urged to provide the names of any loved one, family, friend or neighbor in the Parish to the rectory so that our Eucharistic Ministers can visit them.

This group of Parishioners serve the Parish by mistering as Lectors and and Eucharistic Ministers at all Masses throughout the year. All are welcome.

Youth Ministry
OLP youth group is a parish-based ministry designed to help adolescents build a personal relationship with Jesus, learn church teachings and form Christ – centered friendships. As you encounter Christ, this ministry also helps you to discern your vocation and respond to God’s call by participating fully in the sacramental life of the Church, and become active members of God’s family. It balances faith formation and scripture study with social activities, community service, and retreats. Through this ministry you will able to be engaged with the various ministries of the Parish, such as Lector, Usher, Extra-Ordinary Eucharistic minister (not until age 18), Music – singing or playing any instruments, Church decorations, volunteering OLP drama program, PREP, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Christmas Bazaar and etc., we create this platform for you so that you can shine and strengthen your faith while also helping others. Each of us have received the gifts, I request you to multiply those gifts by sharing with others as Jesus fed 5000 people with five loaves and two fish.
