Parish Census Cards and Block Collection information have been sent to all our parishioners in the past few weeks. Already envelopes and census cards have been steadily coming into the Rectory. Thank you for your prompt response. The Block Collection represents a significant portion of our operating budget for the fiscal year. Your generosity and love for our parish campuses enable us to continue the upgrades to our physical plant as well as enhance our worship spaces.
Thank you also for updating your information on our parish census card. This information is vital to ensure that our records in our parish database system are accurate and offer an adequate representation of who we are as a parish community. Updated cell-phone information, e-mail addresses, household membership and their needs help to ensure that information is shared with you in a timely manner. Also, it is important that adult children be registered with us. If they are living with you, you can update their information on the census card. Please include their contact information (cell numbers and e-mail addresses) as well as an update to their Sacramental records. If they no longer live with you, or no longer reside within our parish boundaries, please encourage them to register with their local Catholic parish so they can continue to share in the benefits of vibrant Catholic life and be eligible to serve as a godparent, or as a Confirmation sponsor. Thank you again for your generosity and support.
Our Parish School, Notre Dame de Lourdes, celebrating its 65th anniversary year, is conducting two fundraising events this month. Our Drama Program offers our parish children a wonderful opportunity to showcase and to share their varied talents with us. The Drama Program will soon begin auditions for their 2025 show – The Wizard of Oz. The Drama Program will also sponsor a karaoke evening at the Our Lady of Peace schoolyard on Saturday evening, 5 October. Proceeds from the Drama Program have underwritten the new doors on the Our Lady of Peace Parish Center, as well as its projector for our movie nights. Thank you to all who are so invested in the success of our Drama Program and blessings to us as we are “off to see the Wizard!” The show will begin on 3 April 2025.
